PSL's Team is led by Les Pyle, Chief Executive; David Hawkins, Operations Director, Mike Wilkins, Finance Director and Ian Tough, Programme Director.
PSL's small Project Team of experienced partnering practitioners works with a network of Associates - experienced business people from different industries.
PSL is expanding the Associate network in order to achieve full industry sector and regional geographic coverage.

 

Les Pyle

Chief Executive

Les Pyle was appointed as Chief Executive of PSL in 2001 having previously been a member of the PSL board.
This followed a career in the I.T. industry, including 18 years as a director with ICL, latterly Fujitsu, primarily in International Procurement / Supply Chain activities. As part of the integration of ICL into Fujitsu, Les was appointed to the board of a number of Fujitsu International Group Companies, specifically Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Spain.
In addition to PSL Les is also a board member of Networking For Industry, the Parliamentary networking group.

David E. Hawkins is Director of Project Operations for PSL. He has had an extensive career in projects and procurement, particularly in the construction industry, working in many parts of the world. He has developed training programmes and has been a leading speaker in the field of exploiting relationship management through effective leadership and strategy development. He is a regular contributor to professional magazines and journals, is the joint author, with Shan Rajogopal of Sun Tzu and the Project Battleground and author of The Bending Moment: Energizing Corporate Business Strategy, both published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Mike Wilkins

Finance Director

Mike Wilkins has been with PSL since 1992, initially on secondment from HSBC, and then, when he took early retirement from the bank in 1994, as Company Secretary and Finance Director. He was a Corporate Banking Area Manager for HSBC in Central London and held other lending positions in the bank before then.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Ian Tough

Programme Director

Ian Tough is a Senior Civil Servant currently seconded to PSL. Within government, he has served in a number of departments, including OGC, DTI, Ofsted, Environment, Transport, Health and Social Security. His most recent appointments were Director of Supplier Relations at OGC and Head of Procurement at DTI. Within the procurement profession, Ian has held office with CIPS, IPSERA and the Certificate of Competence Examinations Board. He was the first recipient of IFPSM’s Advanced Diploma in International Procurement and Supply. A Fellow of CIPS, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, the CMI and the Royal Society of Arts, Ian is also a Liveryman of the World Traders’ Company in the City of London and serves as a JP at Bexley Magistrates’ Court.
