PSL provides practical support to organisations through a wide range of activities including research, mentoring, relationship training, events, customised programmes and publications.
The PSL research activity focuses on global business intelligence and best practice with particular emphasis on relationship and value chain issues. The most recent programmes covered collaboration in health and safety undertaken for the health and safety executive and Future connections a review of relationships in business for 2020. PSL is also working in collaboration with the British Standards Institution (BSi) to produce the worlds first relationship management standard, BSi 11000.
PSL run workshops, presentations, coaching sessions and so on. Workshops are either generic to a broad partnering issue or tailored to a specific organisation's needs.
A major aspect of PSL’s activity is providing hands-on guidance for such issues as partner selection, partnership formation and relationship evaluation and management. Experienced practitioners with backgrounds in various market sectors handle these programmes.
PSL produces a wide range of best practice publications, both web-based and printed. They range from an introduction to partnering to step-by-step guides, and illustrative case studies from members of the PSL's network.
