The risk environment of the future will be considerably more complex than suggested by the simple model developed in Risk classification See figure 5, below. Risk management will not eliminate this risk. It will, however, become increasingly important and will enable a more effective handling of risk, which may itself become a significant contribution to competitive advantage.
